Equalbase is investing RM300 million (approximately US$63.6 million) into this project. Valdor 1 is designed as a carbon-neutral logistics facility. It aims to surpass average Malaysian warehouse energy efficiency standards by over 50%. Utilizing low-carbon concrete, the project anticipates a 30% reduction in CO2 emissions.

The facility, located in Valdor, Penang, Malaysia, is approximately 6km from Batu Kawan Industrial Park and just over 30km from Penang International Airport.

Spanning approximately 4.6 hectares of land, the project boasts a total gross floor area exceeding 600,000 square feet.

With a capacity to generate 4,620 MWh of solar energy annually, the facility aims to neutralize embodied carbon emissions over a 40-year period.

Completion of Valdor 1 is scheduled for the second quarter of 2025.

This initiative represents a critical element of Equalbase's regional expansion strategy, aligned with its goal to achieve carbon neutrality across all developments by 2040.

Located in an area prioritized for technology and industrial parks by Penang state, the project strategically supports industries such as electrical and electronics, semiconductors, and automotive, contributing significantly to sustainable logistics infrastructure in Penang.
